Questions to ask before ordering a wooden playground

See on Instagram

Use these questions to prepare your project brief and compare proposals on the same basis. The final answer for dimensions, materials and installation always belongs to the selected equipment and site.

How much does a playground cost?

The cost depends on the equipment combination, dimensions, activities, age group, surface and site works. Transport and assembly also depend on the destination. Send the area, photographs and budget range so the proposal can distinguish equipment from the other work.

Is the equipment footprint the total space required?

No. The area occupied by the structure and the surrounding space required for use are different. The layout must consider safety clearances, moving equipment, circulation and the chosen surface. A catalogue dimension alone is not a site plan.

Can one design suit every age group?

The chosen activities and access should match the intended users. Explain whether the area is for younger children, older children or several groups. Suitability is assessed for each model and the overall layout.

What affects the durability of timber?

Timber quality, moisture control, protective coatings, drainage, anchoring and periodic care all contribute. Outdoor wood should be inspected and maintained. Metal connections, ropes, moving components and surfacing also need attention.

How are foundations and surfacing decided?

They depend on equipment requirements and the site. The surface must provide the impact attenuation required for the selected equipment and fall height. Confirm the tested system and project specification before ordering a thickness or material.

What safety documents should I request?

Ask for the technical information and documentation applicable to the selected models. If a tender requires a particular certificate or third-party assessment, provide that requirement early. General information about EN 1176 does not replace model-specific evidence.

Are delivery and installation included?

They are included only when the written quotation says so. Confirm transport, unloading, assembly, foundations, surface works and site preparation separately. The location and order scope determine the arrangements.

What should I send to receive a proposal?

Send the location, measured area, photographs or a plan, children’s ages, expected capacity and budget range. Add any fixed opening date and existing ground works. This allows us to suggest alternatives suited to the project rather than an isolated product.

Can the area open immediately after assembly?

The equipment, anchoring, required clearances and impact-attenuating surface need to be checked before use. Agree the handover and inspection responsibilities with the project team.

Where can I review examples before choosing a playground?

View the Elysee references and tell us which equipment or project you would like to discuss. A photograph can help define the desired play experience, while the final dimensions and layout must be checked for your own site in Spain.

How do I ask about a replacement component?

Send the product code or order reference, the destination, photographs of the complete structure and close-ups of the part. Include dimensions where available. The appropriate component, availability and delivery scope are confirmed for the selected equipment.
