Elysee · Technical project information
From equipment selection to a complete playground installation
Technical information is most useful when it is connected to the chosen model, the site drawing and the responsibilities of the project team.
Identify the equipment before preparing the site
Keep the model reference and agreed specification with the layout. Dimensions, access and the surrounding space must be assessed for that equipment. Existing foundations or paving should not be assumed suitable for a new model without checking the installation requirements.

Timber, connections and activity components
Material selection, moisture control and surface protection contribute to the performance of outdoor timber. Smooth edges, connection details, ropes and moving components all form part of the equipment specification. Ask for the information relevant to the selected model rather than relying on a generic material list.
Outdoor equipment needs periodic inspection and maintenance. The plan should cover timber surfaces, fixings, moving parts and the condition of the surrounding surface. Exposure, drainage and use affect the work required; no general statement on this page replaces the model’s maintenance instructions.
Foundations, levels and safety surfacing
Coordinate the foundation and finished ground levels before work starts. The surface system must suit the required impact attenuation and the selected equipment. A universal rubber thickness cannot be specified from a photograph or an approximate platform height.
Read the guide to fall areas and surfacing for the questions to raise with your project team.

Documents and responsibilities
Tell us if a tender requires specific certificates, drawings or third-party checks. Documentation must relate to the proposed models and the project scope. Delivery, unloading, assembly, foundations and surfacing should each have a defined responsible party.
Before the area opens
Check that equipment assembly, anchoring, required clearances and the necessary impact-attenuating surface have been completed. Agree the handover, inspection and maintenance responsibilities before the playground is put into use.
Discuss the technical scope of your project
Send the location, plan, equipment references and document requirements.
