Connect the play area with the family facilities

Show accommodation routes, restaurant terraces, pools and service access on the plan. Consider where adults will sit and how children reach the play space. The surrounding movement is part of the design brief.

A natural timber appearance can work with a landscaped garden, while themed structures create a different character. The choice should reflect the age range and available area as well as the visual concept.

Plan for seasonal use and maintenance

Describe whether the property operates all year and when outdoor work can be carried out. Delivery access, unloading and storage may need to be coordinated with occupied accommodation.

For exposed sites, discuss timber surface care, connections and moving components with the people responsible for maintenance. Inspection and repairs should remain possible after planting and surfacing are completed.

Set the programme around site readiness

An opening target needs to allow for production, delivery, ground works, assembly and checks. Confirm which party provides foundations and impact-attenuating surfacing. Installation alone does not make an unfinished site ready for use.

For a refurbishment, send images of existing equipment and the surrounding garden. We can discuss replacement or a separate new area once the constraints are understood.
